Welcome to JECA: Launching Our Newsletter and Website

By Wendy Bolger and Jeff Reid, JECA Cochairs

We're excited to share the launch of the Jesuit Entrepreneurship Center Alliance website and the inaugural issue of the JECA Newsletter — two new channels for keeping our growing community informed and connected.

Activity across JECA is accelerating, and it became clear we needed a dedicated home for the work happening throughout our network. The website and newsletter are designed to do exactly that: surface developments from across the alliance, spotlight what member institutions are building, and make it easier for partners and friends to follow along.

Why JECA Exists

JECA was created to help entrepreneurship leaders at Jesuit colleges and universities worldwide collaborate and elevate entrepreneurship for the common good. Jesuit institutions and their leaders are uniquely positioned to support and shape entrepreneurial ecosystems around the world, and the alliance exists to strengthen that shared work.

What's Ahead

In the inaugural newsletter, you'll find updates on:

  • 2026 JECA gatherings on both US coasts and in South America

  • The new JECA Venture Fund

  • Support for African universities

  • And more from across the network

Planning is already underway for additional activities in 2027, both in-person and virtual.

Get Involved

We welcome ideas, event suggestions, and contributions from across the community. If you have an announcement or an event that's open to the broader JECA network, please email Lucinda@jeca.org.

If you'd like the newsletter delivered directly to your inbox, you can subscribe here, and we encourage you to forward it to anyone who shares our mission.

We lead this work because the JECA community inspires and strengthens us in supporting emerging entrepreneurs. Your participation is essential to that vision — and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Wendy Bolger (Loyola University Maryland) and Jeff Reid (Georgetown University) serve as cochairs of JECA, supported by an advisory committee representing several schools.
